The Dichotomy Student Journal invites SACD students to submit for the Dichotomy 29 Student Competition. Winners will have their submission featured side by side to work by international renown thinkers, community advocates, designers and artists in Dichotomy 29: Echo. Students are encouraged to gather and work collaboratively to submit an original work that addresses the following abstract:
Echo begins from within. The hidden whispers reverberate and shape the inner voice. Echo ventures outward, discovering the hidden and unknown. Echo shares new perspectives, reflections, and messages in a continual reshaping of the past that is carried into the future. Echo’s return is an abstraction standing in place of the original call, a memory transformed, interpreted, and reimagined. Dichotomy 29 explores the intersection and overlapping of multiple perspectives, and how our actions echo the voices of others. It invites designers, creative thinkers and activists to question past visions of the present, and to project and critique imagined futures. The call of Echo is for anyone willing to listen and open to receive.
