DICHOTOMY 19: UGLY

Issue 18 Rumspringa represents the progression of the renewed Dichotomy since its revival in 2011 with Issue 17 Exchange, which focused on creating a new and sustainable look for the journal. Rumpsringa has continued on this path to form a journal that consistently presents a collection of essays and works unique in nature and representing a diverse range of authors from both the UDM community and beyond.

As a team of focused students, we have set new goals this year for the sustainability and outreach of Dichotomy.  Call for entries, submission deadlines, and event updates on the UDM SOA webpage have given the journal a new online presence. We have also worked with the UDM Library Integrated Design Studio to make past issues of Dichotomy digitally accessible. Now, you can find almost all issues in the special collections section of the UDM Library webpage, making the history of Dichotomy a resource for continuous reference and design education. Furthermore, we have reached out to the community of Detroit, launching Issue 17 Exchange at Leopold’s Books, where future issues of Dichotomy will be sold to the public.
